Near Rainsford Island
It is with heavy hearts we report that the man who fell overboard near Rainsford Island on Sunday afternoon was Paul Turner from South Boston.
According to a police report, Turner was on the boat – the “Lori Ann” – with three other when he fell into the water. At approximately 4 p.m. a distress call went out for a man overboard by Rainsford Island. When the Coast Guard arrived, Turner was already pulled onboard. The boat was then escorted to Black Falcon terminal where responding EMT’s were able to reviveTurner’s pulse. He died later at Tufts Medical Center.
