Boston 25 is reporting that a South Boston man wanted for failing to register as a sex offender was arrested Tuesday after he chased people around with a machete.
BPD responded to the area of 10 Park Plaza for a report of a person wielding a machete and found the suspect, John Madej, 51 near Boylston and Charles Street.
Madej was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, and carrying a dangerous weapon. In addition, Madej had a warrant for failing to register as a sex offender. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
