Shots fired at Moakley Park – one injured with non-life-threatening injuries

On Tuesday evening, Moakley Park was buzzing with spring-time activity. There were kids playing Little League games. Lacrosse practice was taking place. People were playing basketball and residents were enjoying the warm weather at the park and playground. Shortly before 7pm, more than 20 gun shots rang out at the parking lot next to the basketball courts.
BPD and State police arrived on scene in addition to BFD and Boston EMS. One person was shot in the leg with non-life-threatening injuries.
It could have been much worse but still very scary to say the least.
Earlier on Tuesday, there was another gun related incident at Carson Beach across from Moakley Park.
