BFD and BPD responded to a call for motor vehicle accident on Old Colony Ave. near Dunkin Donuts on Thursday afternoon.
Judging by a photo on social media – a light pole was knocked over. This crash makes four car crashes in less than seven days. That might be a record.
Clearly, we have an issue in South Boston. People are driving distracted, too fast, under the influence etc. Something needs to be done and it needs to be done now.
On Tuesday night, City Councilor Ed Flynn declared the unsafe streets of South Boston as a public health emergency. He recommended updating the safe streets 12 point plan.
