On Tuesday, MA State Police received a call regarding a road rage incident on 93.  The suspect involved in the incident was stopped at the corner of D and Summer and state police found a loaded silver Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver in a compartment attached to the driver’s seat. Yikes.  Police promptly arrested the driver who is now facing an assault with a dangerous weapon charge.

During an interview with the state police at the South Boston barracks, the victim of the road rage reported he was driving in the middle lane of  93 north in the near Granite Avenue when a Mercedes suddenly changed lanes and forced him to swerve to avoid being hit. After the near-collision, the victim said the driver sped, pulled up alongside him and then pointed a gun at him.

He will be arraigned on Wednesday on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. His license to carry has been revoked.

Start pulling guns every time someone gets cut off on 93 is going to be a blood bath. Jeesh, lighten up folks and keep your head on a swivel; you’ll be fine.

That’s really scary! The guy who was menaced by the driver with the gun is lucky he wasn’t killed. It’s good that Mulholland is getting his license to carry a gun revoked.

The only reason that there aren’t more of these horrible gun-related incidents is because Massachusetts has some of the toughest gun laws here in the United States, which I’m glad of, but there’s always room for improvement. The driver with the gun who menaced the other driver without the gun not only needs his license to carry revoked, but he needs to be put behind bars!
