Good riddance
After more than five months, the giant Southie snow pile, left over from the most brutal winter in history, is finally gone. The once 75 foot mound that resided at the snow farm at Tide Street is nothing more than dirty puddle. So if you were playing the snow melt challenge – a contest organized by Mayor Marty Walsh – and you picked July 14th – you are a winner. The mayor’s office will announce winners later this week.
As for the Southie Snow Pile on twitter (@SouthieSnowPile) he is threatening to be back. Winter is coming, Southie.
