Ride Share Driver Arrested for Sexual Assault in South Boston

On Sunday, February 23, 2025, Boston Police officers arrested Hermann Ngoufack Jiokeng, 39, at his residence in Brighton, and charged him with Rape. The original incident occurred at about 11:45 PM, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, when the victim took a ride share from a location in South Boston to her residence. During the ride, the suspect, who was the ride share driver, sexually assaulted the victim. He is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.

when is something really going to be done about these creeps driving people around in these ride shares. when we used to have just taxis i don’t recall hearing about all of these assaults. I guess it’s OK as long as it isn’t you.
I drove for Uber for 6 years all over every neighborhood in Boston and the surrounding area. I would drive the Saturday night club scene. I never had a problem. I stopped when Covid hit. It’s a shame that this happened but someone sick like this is going to commit this horrible crime no matter what the medium.
