Public Safety Announcement
From your friends at CIS
Dear fellow citizens of South Boston,
As of May 13th, Mayor Marty Walsh and the City of Boston ended the temporary emergency traffic reconfiguration – AKA the temporary one way streets. The temporary one way streets going back to the original two ways are for ONLY the one way streets initially changed in February. It does not mean ALL one ways in Southie are now two way streets – as some people seem to think.
We are getting lots of reports of people go the wrong way on I Street, K Street, and M Street. These are NOT two way.
Please obey the posted traffic signs for everyone’s safety.
Thank you!
P.S. We can’t believe we even have to write this.

does anyone really believe that ALL the streets were made two way?
When the city implemented the ETR one way change they put fliers in mailboxes & posted fliers at stores & restaurants. They had front page news and TV coverage. Then they announced that it would be extended and a decision would be made about whether to make it permanent on June 1st. Then late Friday May 8th they decide to undo the one ways and switch them back to two ways on Wednesday. No fliers, little to no news coverage. No wonder people are confused. They got the word out before, and then decided not to this time.
Lol ….. I love the Ps
So as to not piss off the three vocal yuppies who were in favor of one way streets.
with streets that were one way in the first place? Why would anyone think they were changed to two way? This coupled with not being able to read signs. .. Confused is not the word!
