Public Meeting on Columbia Road and Kosciuszko Circle Reconstruction TONIGHT

Attention, Southie residents! The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is hosting a public informational meeting tonight, Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 6:00 PM. The focus will be on the proposed roadway reconstruction of Columbia Road and Kosciuszko Circle at I-93. ​

Project Overview:
The proposed project aims to enhance safety and reduce congestion by reconstructing Columbia Road and Kosciuszko Circle. Plans include modernizing the roadway configurations and improving bicycle and pedestrian accommodations across I-93. ​
Why It Matters:
Kosciuszko Circle has long been a notorious bottleneck, often referred to as a “circle of hell” due to its gridlocked traffic during rush hours. This reconstruction project presents an opportunity to address these longstanding issues and improve daily commutes for Southie residents.​
