Coming to Southie on Wednesday – be on the look out for the presidential motorcade.

President Barack Obama will be in town on Wednesday.  As part of his Democratic National Convention duties and fundraising efforts, Obama is making a trip to Boston.

Obama will arrive at Logan Airport in the afternoon, then head to Cambridge to attend a round-table discussion about raising the national minimum wage.  He saved the best for last and will attend a dinner for 70 supporters at the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter in Southie.

Who knows?  Maybe he’ll make a stop at Williams Tavern (which is located directly across from the EpiCenter) before heading back to Logan.

Road closures from 5pm to 9pm:
The closures include A Street from Melcher Street to West Broadway from West 2nd Street from B Street to Dorchester Ave and West 1st Street from A Street to Yard Way. There will also be no parking or stopping on on West 2nd Street from B Street to Dot ave and West 1st Street from A Street to Haul Road.

He should stay home, it will just cause traffic problems in the area and all he is doing is trying to help more democrats get elected and take more of our money

Guessing he’ll grace us with his presence at the worst possible time 4-5 o’clock. So  prepare for Broadway Station to be shut down and your buses to have major delays just in time for your evening commute. Thanks for stopping by Obama
