on Day Boulevard

A pedestrian was struck by a car at the intersection of I and Day Boulevard on Thursday evening around 6:30pm. According to State Police, a woman, whose name was not released, was in serious condition and taken to Boston Medical Center.  The driver remained at the scene.  Day Boulevard was closed in both directions while State Police investigated the scene.

    Something needs to be done to make Day Boulevard and Columbia Road safer for pedestrians.  Drivers go way too fast and carelessly down both roads, and constantly blow the pedestrian stop lights at the L St crosswalks.
