Fox 25 is reporting that The Condon School in South Boston has had an outbreak of the Norovirus.  Over 140 students and 10 staff members became ill with virus over the weekend and the past few days.   Parents of the school received a robocall from the school on Tuesday.

The Norovirus is a highly contagious stomach virus.  BPS is working closely with the Boston Public Health Commission and have sanitized the school on Tuesday night.

Editorial thoughts:
Hmmm….The Condon School is a polling location and yesterday was an election day where thousands of people came to vote.  Should South Boston be concerned?  Why on earth didn’t they sanitize before election day!

Make sure to wash your hands, Southie!  Stay healthy!

I don't want to speak too soon, but the polls take place in the cafeteria where I supervise students every morning. I also teach in the caf for half of the day. If I don't have the virus, voters should be fine, unless they were licking the tables while pondering question 4. I will cross my fingers for all of us!
