Well, it’s official—Boston Calling is hitting pause in 2026.
After this year’s event at Harvard Athletic Complex this past Memorial Day weekend, festival organizers have announced that the beloved three-day music fest will not return next year. Why? According to Boston Calling reps, they’re “pressing pause” to reimagine and refresh the experience for fans.
In a statement released on Friday morning, organizers announced that they want to take the year to “evaluate and evolve,” promising the festival will return in 2027, bigger and better.
This news might be disappointing for fans who look forward to Boston Calling as the unofficial kickoff to summer. Past years have drawn tens of thousands and included artists like Foo Fighters, Paramore, and Kendrick Lamar.
No word has been released yet on what the 2027 festival will look like or whether it will return to the exact location, but organizers are promising updates down the line. We will keep you posted!
