(South Boston, MA) Maryann McLeod Crush, President of the Board of Directors for St Peter Academy, announced today that they have appointed Frank Galligan to serve as Principal of the private, independent Pre-K to Grade 6 school.

“We are looking forward to the 2019 school year under Principal Galligan’s leadership. His professional skills and personal values complement the school’s mission and vision,” said Maryann McLeod Crush, St Peter’s Board president. “We welcome Principal Galligan to our community of learners. We are excited and confident that he and his team will continue to instill a love of learning throughout St Peter’s Academy.”

Over the last ten years, Galligan has served as an administrator for both private and public schools. He has successfully increased student achievement levels through the implementation of standards-based instruction and data driven decision making. His commitment to collaboration with faculty and families has resulted in strong school climates and cultures resulting in increased enrollments.

“I am excited to be appointed Principal of St. Peter Academy and look forward to the many rewards and challenges involved in providing an exceptional private school experience for our students,” said Frank Galligan. “I am equally excited to partner with the committed parents and dedicated faculty and staff of St. Peter’s to advance the mission of a school that so many families have valued for over 60 years.”

Galligan received his Master of Education – School Leadership from Harvard University, his Master of Education – Secondary Education from Providence College and his Bachelor of Arts from Assumption College. He is a resident of Dorchester. The St. Peter’s Search Committee worked with Pacifico Consulting to identify and recruit highly qualified candidates for consideration by the Board. The search process was conducted over the last three months generated a strong pool of candidates.
