It’s been about a month since the gruesome discovery of four frozen infants in a freezer at a condo located at 838 East Broadway. Very little about this case has been disclosed as the public awaits the autopsy results from the state’s medical examiner.

On Monday, WCVB reported some new details on the woman at the center of this case.  Through interviews and public records, the following info. about the woman who owns the unit and her family.

Here’s the breakdown:

The condo unit was owned by Alexis Aldamir. It was bought in 1983 for $49,600.

Aldamir’s father, Joseph Harrelson, is also listed on the deed and is a former Army colonel, a veteran of World War II and Korea, and a member of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff. He died in 2003.

Aldamir’s mother’s name is Ginnette, and she was divorced.  She lived in the same building up until recently and now lives in a nursing home.

Neighbors described Aldamir as quiet.

On Aug. 15, there was an incident in the building where a resident called 911 after smelling gas coming from Aldamir’s unit. According to WCVB via probate court records, “(Aldamir) was found at home with the gas stove left on, and with confusion.” She was diagnosed with dementia and admitted to Tufts Medical Center.

Just last month, after Ginnette moved to a nursing home, Aldamir’s brother went to 838 East Broadway to clean out his sister’s and his mother’s condos. That’s when he discovered the remains in the freezer. He called 911.  Four infants, two boys and two girls, were found in boxes wrapped in aluminum foil.

Currently, there is no information suggesting wrongdoing by Aldamir or anyone in the family.  This is still an active investigation pending autopsy results.

    The last sentence in this article is so off putting. You’re reporting on a tragic incident and it feel wrong to bring up the cost of the condo in a humorous way at the end.
