In the last days leading to the Tuesday, September 4th election for State Representative, momentum for Matt Rusteika’s campaign is building.

“I’ve knocked on a lot of doors this summer, and every day I hear that people want a fresh face,” said Rusteika. “The thousands of dollars my opponent has raised from developers is just another example of why we can’t afford to stick with business-as-usual in this election.”

The first campaign finance filing of the election shows the grassroots nature of Matt Rusteika’s campaign. Three-quarters of donations to the campaign were $100 or less, demonstrating a high level of support from working people across the district.

“I want to thank all the people who have made an investment in me and in the future of South Boston,” said Rusteika. “I’m proud of the grassroots campaign we’re running. From day one, we’ve taken our message straight to the voters. And it’s been clear for a long time that what the voters want is a change.”
Election Day is Tuesday, September 4th. The winner of the Democratic primary for State Representative will be unopposed in November. Don’t forget to get out and vote!

Matt Rusteika lives with his wife Katrina, their son Simon, and their dog Watson on M Street, where his family has lived since 1925. He’s running for State Rep because he thinks we can do better for working people in South Boston.

It’s time for change. The same old system needs a refresh. Go Matt!

Matt is going to get crushed. He’ll move back to Somerville post election where his left leaning democratic socialism has a better following. Has he knocked on anyone’s door ? Why is his campaign virtually invisible in a town that loves a good political fight. Because his support is a mile wide but an inch deep. He’ll be the Rep of M street where his paltry votes will come only from relatives. I’m voting for Beale, the BC and BC law graduate who eschews a big law firm pay check for public service. Beale’s father is a construction worker, hardly an “establishment” background. Matt, save your money for a shave post Tuesday. You.ll need to be clean cut for your job interviews.
