Migrants could be coming to Fort Point neighborhood.

Buckle up!

The Boston Herald is reporting that Fort Point neighbors were informed that migrants could be moving into their neighborhood soon.  Where are they moving to, you ask? A vacant area of an office building on Farnsworth Street – not far from the Children’s Museum.

Needless to say, some neighbors are freaking out and demanding an emergency meeting with the City of Boston.  According to the Herald, state rep. David Biele emailed neighbors that the United Way received a grant from the Healey administration “to identify and set up overflow shelters for families on the waitlist throughout the state.” Biele also stated that the state is in conversations with a private landowner on Farnsworth Street.  He added that “nothing has been finalized yet.”

Both City Councilor Ed Flynn and City Councilor at-large Erin Murphy expressed concerns over the proposal of sheltering migrant families in an office building to the Herald, stating they didn’t think that building would be adequately suited for a shelter, including the fact it doesn’t have showers.

The current temporary migrant shelter – Roxbury Cass Center – is already at its 400-person capacity and was met with criticism from the neighborhood.

The state also operates other sites in Cambridge, Quincy, and Revere.

You can read all the details here via the Boston Herald.

    …said no one. Ever.
C’mon now, are we surprised? When they shoved these illegal immigrants (don’t even…that’s exactly what they are) down the throats of another neighborhood by taking away a valuable asset to the residents , it was only a matter of time before the (unasked for and unappreciated) “burden” of accommodating these people was going to be spread around.
This is just the beginning. Wait until the nice weather comes and they set up shop in Marine Park and/or around the Castle.

Are we going to see a REPEAT of the 1970’s Busing Opposition?

What exactly does that have to do with any of this?

There’s no room at the Inn. People who voted for democrats voted for this.

That’s exactly what we need. If we don’t stand up soon to these liberal idiots, we will be the minorities in our own communities. It.s a hell of a thing when you can break the law so blatingly and be rewarded with housing, welfare ,food stamps, free medical care and education . It is a crime to cross the border ,they should be arrested and sent back immediately. If I robbed the corner store because my little babies had no food and I had no money to buy any, I would be arrested, and rightly so, put in jail and have to go to court. Why are these so called immigrants not treated like that ? Wake up and stand up people. We need some good old fashioned protests like we had in the seventies.

I used to say we are slowly becoming San Fransico… now it’s coming in waves, and we haven’t seen anything yet.

If you want to see the future, google the interview Liz Warren did on Colbert a few days ago. Absolute garbage, but she, Healy and Wu will continue to spew this nonsense. One particular nonsensical comment was if we give them work permits, they will move out of shelters. To where? What about the housing crisis?

She’s not stupid, but she loves to offer these half ‘solutions’ to a problem without touching the consequences (ie; student loan debt). And no one ever challenges her on it. Unfortunately, the Democrat Socialist party will destroy this State. Get out if you can.

Democrats screamed to open the Borders and elected Biden who promised to do just that. What part of Open Borders is confusing? Massachusetts’share of these new Biden illegal immigrants is 20,000,000 /50 = 400,000. and the vast majority of those will settle in and around Boston

Really Flynn? Showers ? That is the least of residents concerns.
Our city councilors work for the people of Boston, let’s start acting that way. Same goes for Healy.

The most human option would be to use the, Hynes for the folks needing emergency housing.

The Hynes? That area is already a problem with homelessness. They are all living along the Public Library steps. It’s getting scary to walk along Boylston St. There’s no room left in the city. Bring them to the suburbs, there must be empty buildings there where there is space for them to move around in.

Southie residents get what they vote for. Rich in Ma tow the line “no one is illegal” their coming to pick our fruit, but don’t put them in their neighborhoods, their schools. Put them in middle, low income neighborhoods. The hypocrisy in this state is mind blowing. Zero self awareness by the Tesla driving crew. (Martha’s Vineyard)
Did anyone see Rep Presley rail against white racist corporate Walgreens for closing the store that was looted daily? Maybe I missed her railing against 2 of the whitest women taking a much needed rec center from inner city kids and elders?? If someone could direct me to the video.
You can put a thousands of unvetted people in Quincy, New Bedford. East Boston. Criminals will go where they go, money is not in middle low income towns.
Look at the poor nursing student in Georgia was there a “migrant” shelter near by, nope.
I cant wait to see what happens in the Seaport, popping my corn.
This is what one party rule gets you and sheeple in Ma will never wake up.
