An MBTA repairman is accused of stealing more than $80,000 from the bus fare collection boxes in Southie.  (Who knew there was that much cash in those collections boxes?)

Stephen P. Fagerberg, 55, of Dedham, appeared in court on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to larceny over $1,200 in a continuous scheme and was released without bail.  There are a few conditions -Fagerberg needs to stay away from T property and surrender his passport.  He’s due back in court on August 14th.

According to Attorney General Maura Healey’s office,  Fagerberg has been investigated since April.
