Man with 19 outstanding warrants was arrested at Andrew Station for Assault + Battery on a woman

On December 6, 2021 at approximately 9:30PM Transit Police officers assigned to the Central District were on patrol at the MBTA’s Andrew Sq. station. While there, they heard screaming coming from the area of the bus way and immediately proceeded in that direction. Upon arrival officers located a 26 year old female victim who had just been assaulted. Officers observed swelling and redness on the victim’s facial area. Officers also located the alleged assailant later identified as Erik Conroy, 30, of Boston. Officers received conflicting versions on how/why the assault occurred. During this time it was discovered there were 19 individual warrants in existence for Conroy’s arrest issued out of Boston Municipal Court, Roxbury District Court, West Roxbury District Court, South Boston District Court and Dorchester District Court for various offenses to include: Assault & Battery on an Ambulance Personnel, Assault & Battery on a Police Officer, Assault & Battery, B&E Building Nighttime for Felony, Assault & Battery on a Disabled Person and Assault & Battery on a Correctional Facility Employee.
Conroy was placed into custody for the warrants and additionally charged with Assault & Battery for the incident which drew the officers attention initially. Conroy was transported to TPD HQ for the arrest booking process.
