BPD from C-6 (South Boston) responded to call for a person stabbed near 112 Southhampton Street on Tuesday at 12pm.  The male victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.  Over the weekend, police officers arrested a violet felon who was brandishing a knife in New Market Square.

At about 12:07 PM on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed in the area of 112 Southampton Street in Boston. On arrival, officers located a male victim in his fifties suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim, suffering life-threatening injuries, was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Given the heavy amount of vehicular and pedestrian traffic at the time of the incident, we are asking anyone who was in the area to report anything they may have seen that appeared to be suspicious.
