On Tuesday, we stumbled upon this story on our social media feed.  Channel 7 reported a dog attack in South Boston near CVS on West Broadway.  A pit bull – yes, a pit bull – was left leashed to a bike rack unattended.  Yes, scary we know.

Now, most people would see the pit bull unattended in front of the CVS and just leave well enough alone.  But one Southie resident couldn’t resist the urge to approach the dog and give him some love.  Unrequited love – the pit bull bit him in the face.

Needless to say, our twitter feed erupted into the blame game.

Guarantee it was some drunk yuppie on New Year’s Day sticking his face in front of a dog he doesn’t know.

So what if it is was a pit bull, any unattended breed could have bitten the person. It’s all about the dog and how it was raised, not the breed. Oh no, a pitbull GASP!! Fun fact: Pit bulls are the NUMBER 2 most tolerant dogs tested by the American Temperament Test Society, Number 1 is Labrador Retriever and they beat out Number 4 Golden Retriever… #TheMoreYouKnow
