Over the weekend, the South Boston Catholic Academy 5th and 6th grade boys basketball team won the 2025 Catholic School State Championship with a victory over Immaculate Conception of Newburyport with a final score of 60-56!  Be on the lookout for the champs in this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

In the lead-up to the State Championship, SBCA won the SSPSL Championship, the RCAB Semi-Finals, and the RCAB Finals last week.

This powerhouse team is now heading to Connecticut to play in the New England Catholic School Championships, with the goal of bringing home the third trophy to South Boston. A GoFundMe page has been created to raise money to send the team to Connecticut. 100 percent of the donations will go to the trip to the finals. You can make a donation here.
