On Wednesday, the Boston police arrested a Roslindale man on drug trafficking charges for selling in the Old Colony housing development. After a raid of his residence, officers found 31 plastic bags containing heroin and more than $66,000 in cash.
According to the Boston Globe, Fernando Rosaio, 30, was arraigned on Thursday in West Roxbury on charges that included trafficking in a Class A substance.
Boston police said Rosario was suspected of supplying drugs in the D Street area as well as the Old Colony Housing Development with drugs.
The next hearing in the case has been scheduled for Oct. 7.
So let’s hear it for the men and women in blue that are helping to make our streets a little safer. Thank you!

Congrats!!! But still SO much work to do!!! I live on Thomas Park and a neighbor just told me that there has been a rash of break-ins in the neighborhood. We need a better way to disseminate this type of inforamtion. Apparently the most recent break-in was in broad daylight across from the high school. Had I not run into my neighbor, I wouldn’t have any idea.
We need MORE patrols, MORE vigilance and MORE arrests. South Boston needs to be cleaned up – certainly the recent drug trafficking arrest is a great step in the right direction!
