Jane’s Addiction Concert in Seaport ends in a Donnybrook.
Good grief.
If you were at the Leader Bank Pavilion to see Jane’s Addiction, an alternative rock band known for hits like “Been Caught Stealing,” you probably witnessed a scuffle that broke out on stage between band members.
Toward the end of the concert, lead singer Perry Farrell lunged at Dave Navarro, shoulder-checked Navarro, then swung at Navarro. Navarro tried to keep Farrell away with his arm before Farrell was dragged off stage.
According to the Boston Globe, the brawl broke out due to “tension and animosity” during their reunion tour, said lead singer Perry Farrell’s wife. Well, it came to a head on Friday on stage, ending the concert early.
Here’s a statement from Farrell re: the whole situation:
This weekend has been incredibly difficult and after having the time and space to reflect, it is only right that I apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday’s show. Unfortunately, my breaking point resulted in inexcusable behavior, and I take full accountability for how I chose to handle the situation.
Gheesh.
