Jake Bombard – New Director of Laboure
About 6 months ago, CIS introduced you to Jake Bombard, then the newly named Deputy Director of the Laboure Center. Just this week Catholic Charities of Boston announced that effective July 12th Jake has been named as the Director for the center.
Jake succeeds longtime director Sr. Maryadele Robinson, who joined Catholic Charities Labouré Center in 1988 and led the organization through a period of significant evolution. Sr. Maryadele Robinson will remain at Labouré and become involved in direct service, while continuing to help raise funds to support its programs.
“Being trained by Sister Maryadele these past sixth has been a wonderful and humbling experience. She has been an incredible mentor, and together we will continue the legacy of the Labouré for years to come.”
In his new position, Bombard will be responsible for the administration and fundraising efforts for diverse social service and educational programs serving more than 3,000 children, teens, adults, and elders in South Boston and surrounding communities.
“As someone who has once benefited from the important services that the Catholic Charities Labouré Center provides, I’m thrilled to be given this opportunity to lead the Center,” said Bombard. “I look forward to continue working with a great staff that is committed to providing essential support services to our clients and advocating for those who need our help.”
Congrats, Jake!
