If you’re thinking about running the marathon route, don’t!
At Friday afternoon’s press conference, Mayor Marty Walsh warned runners who were thinking about running the Boston Marathon route should get the idea out of their heads.
Back in March it was announced that the 2020 Boston Marathon would be postponed from Patriots’ Day to September 14th due to COVID-19.
With stricter measures in place for social and physical distancing, Walsh warned that running the route on Monday is not a smart or safe decision. “It’s just not the right thing to do,” said Mayor Walsh.
So do the right thing and stay home! If you need to go out, wear a mask.
