BPD apprehends suspect
Thanks to the fast acting camera action of Southie resident Eileen Murphy, she captured the chaos on Sunday night on Emerson Street near K. Evidently, someone decided to smash up cars with a terracotta planter and a Stop and Shop shopping cart. The BPD quickly arrived on scene and arrested the suspect.
Do we suspect alcohol was involved? We think that might be a safe bet.
This would not have happened if bars were allowed to stay open past 2 AM. Yuppies would have a place to drink until say 4 AM and would not be out roaming the streets.
