Happy Holidays from the Seaport – “Spirited”
Talk about rushing the season
We’ve seen the early Halloween candy at Walgreens in July, but snow and Christmas decorations in August? Well, that’s just ridiculous. Or is it?
The fake snow, Christmas trees, and the Happy Holidays sign at the Moakley Courthouse in the Seaport are props being used for the movie “Spirited” with Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell.
The new Christmas movie has been filming all over Boston since July and will star Reynolds as an Ebenezer Scrooge-like figure, with Ferrell playing a Ghost of Christmas Present character. Octavia Spencer will play a kind-hearted co-worker of Reynolds, similar to Bob Cratchit.
So be on the lookout for some Hollywood stars and Christmas in the neighborhood.
