Happy 20th Birthday, My Diner

For 20 years, My Diner has been cooking up some of the best comfort food in the neighborhood, including hearty breakfasts and casual lunches.
This family-owned and operated restaurant once resided at 98 A Street from 2004 until 2016, when it learned the building owners would be selling the spot to be redeveloped into condos (you know that old tune). Ela and Ben Bashllari searched high and low for a new spot for the beloved diner in the neighborhood but didn’t find anything. In January 2017, My Diner opened on Main Street in Melrose.
South Boston was disappointed. But in February 2018, it was announced that My Diner would return to South Boston in its current (and now second) location, 455 East First Street where it’s thriving.
Below is a photo of State Rep. (and Southie native) David Biele presenting the Bashllari’s with a citation recognizing My Diner’s 20 years in business!
My Diner is a neighborhood staple, and we’re so thankful to have it here! The menu features gigantic breakfast dishes like eggs cooked to order, breakfast sandwiches, thick stacks of pancakes, and delicious French toast. Enjoy hot turkey dinners, burgers, grilled cheese club sandwiches, fried fish on Fridays, and more for lunch.
