Hammered on East Broadway
BPD make an arrest
This was no ordinary Sunday Funday in Southie this past weekend. Boston police officers responded to call that a man yielding a hammer and threatening to do some damage near the Boston Beer Garden on East Broadway on Sunday, June 21st. According to the Boston Globe, that person arrested is 52-year old John Connolly.
Connolly did not go down easy. After charging at police, smashing a local business window, Connolly only stopped after a sergeant pointed a shotgun that fires bean bags at him and placed him into custody. Luckily no one was hurt.
Connolly is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
