BPD make an arrest

This was no ordinary Sunday Funday in Southie this past weekend.  Boston police officers responded to call that a man yielding a hammer and threatening to do some damage near the Boston Beer Garden on East Broadway on Sunday, June 21st.  According to the Boston Globe, that person arrested is 52-year old John Connolly.

Connolly did not go down easy.  After charging at police, smashing a local business window, Connolly only stopped after a sergeant pointed a shotgun that fires bean bags at him and placed him into custody.  Luckily no one was hurt.

Connolly is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
