Greenside Golf to Take a Swing at New Simulator Facility on Old Colony Ave.

Greenside AI CEO and South Boston resident David Hodge is bringing a new state-of-the-art golf simulator to 58 Old Colony Avenue, directly above Mei Mei Dumplings. Greenside Golf offers year-round coaching and AI-powered swing analysis, available rain or shine, in six simulator bays and putting green practice areas.
“Our aim here is to just improve the game of golf, improve access to sports, and democratize golf instruction,” said Greenside Golf CEO Matt Bourgeois during an abutters meeting Wednesday night.
Greenside Golf will utilize Foresight Sports Falcon units – ceiling-mounted projectors capable of simulating any course in the world and measuring ball speed, launch angle, and impact location. “These are $30,000 a piece units. They’re as good as you can get,” Bourgeois said. Proprietary Greenside AI integration will provide actionable guidance to help golfers improve their game.
Bourgeois described the facility as purely for training and mingling with other golfers as opposed to the corporate event and hospitality-focused golf-adjacent establishments. No food will be served on site, but there will be a small to medium-sized bar, TVs, and a lounge area for club members and golf enthusiasts alike to appreciate the sport.
“It really is going to be a flagship facility. Nowhere else in the world can you get this kind of digital and AI coaching that we’re going to be able to provide at Greenside Golf Club right here in Boston and particularly in Southie,” said Hodge, who will serve as CTO. “I’m just really excited to be able to bring this type of experience to the neighborhood and really connect with many different golfers.”
Simulator time will be bookable at $65 an hour or through membership entitlements going for $179.99 for five hours a month or $299.99 for unlimited access. Private lockers will also be available for qualifying members.
Street parking and several spaces in the Ironworkers Local 7 lot will be available to patrons. The planned hours of operation are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week. More information or a spot on Greenside’s waitlist can be found here.
