Graffiti tagging overnight in Southie

Update: Do you recognize these people? They are wanted in connection with the tagging early Wednesday morning in South Boston.

This is no way to start the day.
On Wednesday morning, several business and homeowners on the East Broadway/Silver Street block between G and Dorchester streets awoke to find red graffiti tagged on their properties.
Joyce Lebedew, owner of Joyce Lebedew Real Estate, discovered that her office, at the corner of G and Broadway, had been tagged in numerous spots on her building. She contacted BPD, filed a report and tried to come up with a plan to get the red paint removed.

Then a man pulled up in front of Lebedew’s building in a Hennelly & Son Roofer and Gutters truck and offered to help…free of charge. He heard a military banner was vandalized. By using a paint remover, the red tagging slowly disappeared.

Sometimes it’s the kindness of strangers that can turn a day around.
If you have any information about the tagging in the neighborhood, you are encouraged to reach out to Boston Police C-6 – 617) 343-4730

Joyce Lebedews son is a Marine! Joyce has worked very hard. She is self made! Thank you to the person who cleaned up her property!
Thats because Joe Hennelly is a stand up dude and a true south bostonian. I had the pleasure of being his neighbor for a couple months. Good guy.
Maybe just say “thank you” to the Hennelly guy for stepping up. I believe it was the veterans sign that got his attention. Maybe you could step up and help the less fortunate.
Thank you, Debbie Downer…womp…womp…woooooomp…
