Word to the wise: Still take preventative measures to avoid being a victim of crime.  Walk with a purpose.  Keep your doors and windows locked (both in your home and vehicle).  Don’t keep expensive items in your car out in plain site.  Don’t leave your car running while you run in to pick up a cup of coffee.  Report any suspicious behavior in your neighborhood to the police.
