A small, private funeral was held on Thursday morning at St. Monica Church for mobster James “Whitey” Bulger, 89. According to the Boston Globe, members of his family including his brothers Billy and Jackie were in attendance. Also in attendance was Margaret McCusker, the twin sister of Bulger’s girlfriend Catherine Greig.

Last week it was reported that Bulger was killed at maximum security prison in West Virginia.

Bulger was convicted of 11 murders and serving a life sentence.  He was caught in Santa Monica back in 2011 after being on the lam for 16 years.
