Who wouldn’t love to be surprised by gorgeous colorful flowers popping up in unexpected places in the neighborhood? On Tuesday, the neighborhood of Everett was surprised and delighted by a “floral takeover” at a busy bus stop to elevate the daily mode of transportation! This arrangement was done by local florist Krissy Price from Boston Pollen.

In New York City, floral designer Lewis Miller places beautiful buckets of flowers all over Manhattan. Described as the “Banksy” of floral design, under cover of the night, Miller will install large, over the top arrangements guerrilla style!

We’d love to see this in our neighborhood! Bus stops, trash cans, traffic lights, vacant store fronts, chain link fences, draped and adorned with colorful, beautiful flowers. It would be an instant mood lifter and we can all use a reminder of just how beautiful the world can be!

Where would you like to see Floral bombs in the neighborhood?

That’s actually in Everett, not Somerville.

I wouldn’t want that at my bus stop? Bee’s, bug’s and the smell is not universally liked, dogs will pee on them etc. Public spaces should not be a canvass for artists ALL the time. –I would draw a line at bus stop only because you are forcing someone who may not like the idea to be immersed in it — that’s not fair. No, I’m not a miserable person who only likes to complain (that’s that other guy on here)…
