A Boston firefighter was hospitalized Saturday after battling a two-alarm house fire at 729 Third Street in South Boston, according to WCVB.
The fire broke out in a residential building and spread to neighboring homes. Boston Fire officials reported that everyone inside the homes was able to get out safely, but one firefighter was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
Eight residents were displaced, and the Red Cross is helping them find alternative housing.
