Fire in South Boston on Friday Morning: 522 East Fifth Street

Around 2:30am on Friday, BFD responded to a call for a fire at 522 East Fifth Street in South Boston. Smoke was showing, and a fire was found in the kitchen on the first floor. All residents exited the building and the fire was quickly knocked down within 15 minutes.
No injuries reported. Damages estimated at around $700,000.
