Potholes in Boston

Looks like the City of Boston’s  Department of Public Work has been busy.  In the past two weeks, crews have filled 2,192 potholes in a campaign to smooth city streets.

“On day one of my administration, I spoke with Interim Commissioner Dennehy about the importance of keeping our roads in good shape for our residents and visitors,” Mayor Walsh said. “I especially want to thank our Public Works crews for their hard work over the past two weeks as we prepare for our first storm together.”

We have a feeling we might see some more potholes after this week’s storm.  If you see one, report it to the Mayor’s 24-hour Hotline at 617-635-4500.  The City of Boston also encourages your to report other neighborhood issues like snow removal, damaged signs and graffiti too.  You can also tweet #potholes to @notifyBoston on twitter – make sure to mention the location.

FYI – “Potzilla” will be patching potholes in advance of today’s snow storm – be on the lookout!
