Father faces child endangerment charge for leaving baby unattended in car in South Boston

NBC 10 Boston is reporting that a father is facing a child endangerment charge for leaving a baby inside a rental vehicle for about an hour in South Boston on Tuesday night.
BPD responded to a call around 8:39 p.m. for a missing child in the area of 400 Summer St.
Upon arrival, officers learned that an 11-month-old child had been left unattended inside a rental vehicle for about an hour after the child’s father got lost. The child was later located safe and in good health in a nearby parking lot by responding officers. The child was evaluated on scene by Boston EMS.
The father will appear at South Boston District Court on a charge of reckless endangerment of a child.
