Fire at 265 E Street

We are sad to report that Andrew Pano, 90 – passed away due to complications from smoke inhalation and other injuries suffered during a fire on Saturday night.   The Fire Department and EMS responded to a one-alarm fire on the second floor at 265 E Street at 9pm, spokesman Steve MacDonald said.  Pano and an elderly woman who lived in the building were treated on scene and transported to Boston hospitals.  Pano passed two days later at Mass General Hospital.

Fire inspectors estimate the damage to the building at approximately $100,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
