In a story that seems to be ripped from a Dateline, the details of the gruesome double murder on Friday night in South Boston are slowly starting to surface. Dr. Richard Field was able to text a friend asking for help in the last moments of his life. When the Boston police arrived to the penthouse of 141 Dorchester Ave, both Field, 49, and his fiance Dr. Lina Bolanos, 38, were dead. Both were found with hands bound and their throats cut.
According to the Boston Globe when police officers opened the door Bampumim Teixeira started firing. Police fired back hitting Teixeira and injuring him. Photos of the two victims were cut up and a message of retaliation was written on the wall were also discovered by police. Teixeira was recently released from prison for to two counts of larceny for passing notes demanding money at bank.
BPD are still investigating trying to put together the pieces of the puzzle to figure out the motive.
