For us living in the city, winter ain’t easy. MBTA issues, parking, and climbing over 5 feet snow banks, aren’t exactly on our list of top favorites. But one Boston young professional is here to make our lives this season a little bit easier.

Introducing the new app, Boston Yeti. If it sounds familiar, think back to last year when multiple sources reported a mysterious“yeti” spotted around Boston.  Chris Barry, an NYU Grad, came up with the Uber-like snow removal service after last year’s rough winter. You pull up the app, mark your location of your car after a snowstorm. Then, they’ll match you with a “Yeti” who’ll go rescue and dig your car out. The app then updates the user when the job is complete and you can go on with your day, avoiding one of winter’s most dreaded tasks.

The app is expected to make its debut this January. And while we hope we’ll see the mysterious “Yeti” back in Boston this winter, we can’t wait for this helpful version to come to town as well.
