Did you know that there’s a horse named “Wicked Strong” running in the Kentucky Derby on Saturday?

This 3 year-old colt is owned by the partners of the Beverly’s Centennial Farm.  The horse was originally named Moyne Spun but was quickly changed after the Boston Marathon tragedy in 2013.

Centennial Farms will donate 1 percent of the horse’s Kentucky Derby winnings to The One Fund Boston.  They will also donate 5 percent of the horse’s winnings during the Triple Crown series.

Wicked Strong is one of the favorites at Churchill Downs. The Kentucky Derby winner will receive a $1 Million purse.
