BOSTON –  Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn is urging District 2 neighbors to apply for the 2026 Community Preservation Funding round. Every year, the Community Preservation Act (CPA) uses revenue from a 1% property tax-based surcharge on residential and commercial property taxes to fund the initiatives of affordable housing, historic preservation, parks and open space. Councilor Flynn is again calling on neighbors and community organizations to apply this summer and ensure that District 2 receives its fair share of CPA funding this coming round and beyond.

Please note the deadline to submit an eligibility determination form for the FY 2027 funding round is Monday, August 31st, at 5 P.M.. The Eligibility Determination Form is not a final application. Candidates deemed eligible will be invited to submit an application for their proposed projects.
