Condon’s Jayden Bengoche Dominates Payton Pritchard’s 1v1 Tournament

When it comes to rising stars in the Boston youth basketball scene, Condon Middle School’s eighth-grader, Jayden Bengoche is making a name for himself. Over the weekend, Bengoche took his talents to the Dana Barros Basketball Club and walked away victorious in NBA player Payton Pritchard’s 1v1 Basketball Tournament.
With 15 other middle school ballers vying for the top spot, Bengoche brought his A-game, with crafty ball-handling, fearless drives to the hoop, and court vision that seemed instinctive. The Condon captain didn’t just win—he dominated—securing the coveted prize: a signed jersey from Pritchard himself.
Jayden is no stranger to winning. Last year, he clinched victory in the South Boston Historic Society Evacuation Day Free Throw Contest, proving he’s one to watch.
Keep your eyes on this young playmaker, Boston—Jayden Bengoche is a name you’ll be hearing a lot more of in the future. Way to go, Jayden.
Jayden, along with other kids from the BCYF Condon Community Center, took part in the tournament, thanks to the support and coordination of the center’s staff.
