If you’re anything like us, if you’ve got money in your pocket, it burns a hole. In other words, you want to spend it!
Well, Senator Nick Collins and State Rep. David Biele are asking the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) to do just that – spend the money!
In a letter to the Interim Commissioner of the DCR, Collins and Biele are asking her to spend the $400,000 in funding to improve Marine Park. This funding was secured last year for the 2022 Fiscal Year so times a tickin! You can read the letter below – and it would be nice to see some improvements to this neighborhood park area and the Old Harbor Reservation Parkways!

Sidewalk from Old Kelley’s landing to WW II at old head house needs to be replaced. I’m on a cane and almost killed myself walking there.
Clean up the stretch of beach heading to Castle Island. There are chunks of cement and curb stones that have been dumped there from past decades. Very easy to clean up, and then dump,some real sand in there. Win win
