Friday, August 31st is Colin McGrath’s birthday.  He would have turned 3 years old.  On the street, where the McGrath family lives, a sea of blue balloons lined the block, placed there by neighbors early in the morning before the sun came out.

Also, pails, shovels and toys were left at South Boston beaches with a simple note attached:

I am not lost.  Please take me and play with me.  In memory of Colin McGrath.

Colin was tragically killed at the intersection of L and Sixth back in July.

A nice way to remember Colin today, as suggested by his family is to “simply live one day with pure joy in your heart like Colin lived each day.”

    Rumor has it that birthday cakes, that are waiting to be picked up, will also be paid in memory of Colin ????
