Be informed!  Get involved.  On Monday, October 2nd, Mayor Marty Walsh will be hosting a special City Hall Open House in Southie!  Learn more about city initiatives in the neighborhood while you enjoy food from Capo!  Reps from various city departments including Boston Planning and Development Agency, the Boston Transportation Department, MBTA, the Public Works Department, the Parks and Recreation Department, Boston Public Schools will be on hand to answer any questions you might have.  This event will take place at the Tynan School from 6-8pm.  See press release below:

Monday, October 2nd, Mayor Martin J. Walsh will host a City Hall Open House in South Boston, inviting residents from the South Boston neighborhood to attend and learn more about city initiatives and services underway in their neighborhood. Free food donated by Capo Italian Restaurant will be served as well as a raffle featuring gift cards to local restaurants, New England sporting events and other items.

Representatives from various departments including the Boston Planning and Development Agency, the Boston Transportation Department, the Public Works Department, the Parks and Recreation Department, Boston Public Schools will be in attendance to answer questions residents may have.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Imagine Boston 2030, Vision Zero, the Assessing Department, BOS:311, the Office of Recovery Service, the Office of Immigrant Advancement, Inspectional Services Department, Boston Housing Authority, Office of Small Business Development, the Boston Home Center, the Office of Women’s Advancement, the Department of Neighborhood Development, the Boston Public Health Commission, the Boston Fire Department, the Boston Police Department and many other city departments. In attendance will be sever of the City of Boston’s Departmental Commissioners and Cabinet Chiefs to interface directly with neighborhood residents.
