Councilor Kendra Lara Releases Statement re: 381 Old Colony Ave Investigation, Accuses Colleagues of “homophobic and transphobic rhetoric”

Oh boy, this story continues to linger in the news cycle, yet no questions are being answered.

On Wednesday, City Councilor (District 6 – West Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Mission Hill) released the following statement re: the 381 Old Colony Ave. Investigation.

Lara also called out her colleagues during Wednesday’s city council meeting, which got tense at times.  You can watch the meeting here and here. (2 parts.)

Just to keep you up to speed, this case has more twists and turns than expected, with zero questions being answered. The incident involves two conflicting reports, one from BFD and one from BPD, one dead body, four children now in the state’s custody, and local politicians and neighbors wanting to know what exactly happened.  Here’s the latest, including Congressman Stephen Lynch demanding answers. You can read about it here.

Sadly we will probably never learn the full story of what actually transpired. Many in power are only interested in the “truth” when the story fits their narrative. A common tactic these days is to flip the script and portray offenders as the victims. Anyone with half a brain can spot it a mile away.

…same “esteemed”(?) member of the City Council who:

    1) Reportedly lives in subsidized housing while raking in well over $100k of taxpayer-funded salary.
    2) Reportedly owns a $5k (ahem) “donated” e-bike.
    3) DEFINITELY posted a n extremely disturbing and undeniably vulgar video (look it up) of her and ..whatever he was…engaging in “relations”…in full view/right next to…her child.

Other than that I don’t have much to say about this sub-human.

I don’t know what’s happened to our city (or to American society in general), but…we can’t keep going on like this.

…now what to my wondering eyes should appear (in today’s Herald)?
It seems this particular, esteemed advocate for the people drove her car into “the left side of a home in Jamaica Plain” on Friday. I mean “LITERALLY” inside the home. Oh, and, um…DCF (you’ve heard of them recently?) has been notified …and a 51A has been filed. Because her child (the one with the lacerated eyebrow) was not in a car seat as required by law. Oh…and her license had been previously revoked. Aaaand the car wasn’t registered. Aaaaaand the inspection sticker is expired.

    #Resign. Now. Lara.

And take the rest of your squad with you. Boston deserves better.

…Herald: “Lara was driving with a “revoked license” in an “unregistered” car “with no insurance” and an “expired inspection sticker.”

‘and this…’ to follow-up on your last statement we WILL keep going like this as long as the dopes keep electing anti-cop, racist, socialist grifters. Just look at San Francisco… which is exactly where this city is heading. They had the warning signs years ago but keep electing the same leadership.

Lastly, this sanctimonious letter didn’t age well… apparently, she ‘will not remain silent’ regarding something she knows little about, but ‘asks for privacy’ after crashing a car into a house with a revoked license, no registration, no inspection, no insurance, and no booster seat for her own child. It was reported by a witness she was speeding as well and based on the damage to both home and car, seems accurate.

These are the ‘leaders’ we elect to run this city. God help us.
