Happy Friday.
The driver of the white jeep (in the photo above) crashed into a light pole which fell into a parked car pushing into another parked car and taking down a bunch of wires at the same time. This happened at the intersection of I and Columbia on Friday around 3:30pm.
Overheard at the scene – “I think I fell asleep,” said by the driver of the white Jeep. Good lord. According to a witness at the scene, the same Jeep hit another car over by St. Monica’s rotary. Gheesh.
State Police, BFD and BPD were on scene. No one appeared to be injured.
Be careful out there!

No way he fell asleep..he intentionally drove around us while we were stopped at a red light at G and Columbia running the light and stopping traffic coming from the other way…. followed closely by a bright blue car that seemed to be chasing or fast following. When our light turned green we came upon his crash.
All residents with stickers? If not they did not belong in our neighborhood at all, never mind over night . Why doesn’t South Boston get the same respect for our neighborhood as the Back Bay, the North End? No, we get thousand of South Shore commuters coming through our neighborhood, speeding like they’re still on the Expressway, stealing our parking spaces all day and until late in the evening to get on the bus to their downtown jobs, spaces we need, have a right to as residents when we get home. Southie, tell me I’m wrong.
